"Running a construction business and singing
keeps me busy. Singing with worship team at
Landmark Christian Church, Eau Claire Male
Chorus and CWC are just some of the places I
sing at. Julie and I have been married since 1982.
We have two daughters, Trisha and Samantha,
and four grandsons. All these things keep me
happy and busy."
Lead Terry Hoepner has studied voice
professionally. He has performed in numerous
community theater productions and has been a
guest soloist for several choirs and chamber
chorales. Terry got his start in barbershop soon
after his retirement in 2004 and has enjoyed the
challenge and fellowship.
Baritone Dale Dittmer joined the group in 2014. He
teaches English and Communication classes at
Chippewa Valley Technical College. Dale has been
singing with choirs and musical groups for over 40
years. Since 2006, he has been a member of
Valley Gospel Choir. Dale is also a choir member at
St. Olaf Catholic Parish.
Bass Mark Walker has worked in the food
manufacturing business for over 40 years. He has
three sons, five grandchildren, and lives in Eau
Claire with his wife Cheryl. Mark has sung in church
choirs for many years and is an alumnus of the
Eau Claire Male Chorus. This is Mark's first venture
into acappella quartet singing. When not singing,
Mark enjoys sporting events (now as a spectator),
the arts, and traveling with his wife.
Formerly known as "State Street", ClearWater Connection was conceived in
July of 2010, and has been working relentlessly since then putting together
a look, sound, and style that is unique among barbershop quartets of
today. ClearWater Connection steers away somewhat from the traditional
"barbershop" style with a repertoire that spans music genres from doo-wop
to country with patriotic, jazz, and some old Southern gospel thrown into the
mix as well, while keeping that close harmony sound we've all grown to love.
